Birthday Fun and a New Friend

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. Life has been super busy. Brant is about to turn 4. We had his birthday party last weekend. He had a Santa Claus birthday party with Addison. We had guest appearances from Santa himself and Mrs. Claus (A.K.A. - Mother Goose). It was a great party. He had loads of fun.

We have a new friend! Karlie Ann was born today (12/5). She weighed 7 lbs. 10 oz and 21 inches long. She is beautiful. She has a headful of black curly hair. We have been waiting for her for a long time!

Catching Up on News!

Sorry it has been a while. I have a lot of catching up to do. First, Brant had his first singing debut at church. He sang "One Way" and "Oh Happy Day". During one of the songs, he popped up and said "I beat you". The whole church erupted in laughter. Brylee can now crawl! She is on the move. She started out slow. Now, she is on the go and going everywhere. Brylee and Brant had their Noah's Ark party at daycare. Brant was a monkey and Brylee was Minnie Mouse. I wanted Brant to be Mickey Mouse but I couldn't find a Mickey Mouse in his size. For Halloween, they were something different. Brant was Dash Incredible and Brylee was a fifties girl. She was dressed in a poodle skirt and pigtails. We took Brant to a few houses and then went to the church for a fall festival. He had a blast.

Bulldogs & Haircuts

This past weekend we took Brant to MSU's Homecoming! He had a great time pregame. He took pictures with both Bullys and played with a bulldog puppy. He got autographs from present & past MSU players and his favorite activity - Jumping on the Jumpers! During the game, he was more interested in going to the concession stand- who could blame him. It was a hot day and State didn't "let the dogs out" until 3rd quarter.

Brylee had her first haircut today. She had been needing a trim for a while. She had some extra long and uneven pieces of hair. She did so great! Mandy trimmed it in no time. Brylee was having so much fun watching herself in the mirror and playing with Brant!

New Faces & Crazy Hair

This past weekend we went to visit Bryan's Uncle Dan & Aunt Lisa. We also got to visit his cousin, Joey, his wife, Ashley and their baby daughter, Isabella. They flew in from New York. This was our first time seeing Isabella. Brylee is about 2 months younger than Isabella. Brylee was excited to "play" with Isabella. We really enjoyed the visit!

This week is Mixed Up/Crazy week at Brant & Brylee's preschool. Today, Brylee and Brant celebrated this week by wearing their hair crazy. Brylee had the Pebbles Flinstone look and Brant wanted his hair to look like a Shark. They look too cute!

Colds, Teething, and Field Trips

Brant & Brylee are just getting over colds. I guess it is this crazy weather. Brylee is also teething. Bless her heart, her little mouth is definitely hurting. She is a little bit more fussy than usual. She will wake up in the middle of the night crying out. Brant had his first field trip the other day. He went to the public library and saw Mother Goose. His Nana went with him. He had a lot of fun!

Labor Day Weekend

We went to Birmingham to take Brant to the McWane Center. Bob the Builder was there. He had a blast there. His favorite activities were playing with the centers at the Bob the Builder event and playing at the Just Mice Size play area. He was the perfect age for his first visit. Brylee even had fun! On Monday, Bryan took Brant dove hunting for the first time. They didn't kill any doves, but he had a blast going. He was wore out later that morning!

First Time Blogger

Okay, this is my first time to blog. I guess I need to get with the times. I am starting a little late, though. Brant is 3, almost 4 and Brylee is 6 months. I am going to do my best to keep up. I will start with Brylee; at her 6 month checkup the other day, she weighed 17 pounds 12 oz and measured 26" long. She is a mess. She has this VERY high pitch squeal. When I get home from school, she wants to be held the whole time. She doesn't want to be put down anywhere. I guess she misses her mommy and wants mommy time. Although it is very flattering, it is extremely difficult when you have a demanding 3 year old wanting your attention, too! Next to Brant. He is an extremely active boy. He loves playing with his toys, especially his doctor bag. He loves "working" on Brylee under a very watchful eye. We are counting on him to be a doctor or a lawyer. He is very argumentative. No matter what, he is right (or so he thinks). He is an awesome big brother; he loves his sister. He is an entertainer, which is super helpful to me!
