Happy 1st Birthday!

Brylee celebrated her first birthday with a pink poodle party! She had the cutest cakes courtesy of Mrs. Rockwell. They were so delicious. She makes the BEST cakes! She had a poodle with pink & black polka-dots. Her little cake was so precious as well! Brylee really enjoyed eating her cake! Her guests were mostly family. The girl party favors were poodle purses. The boys just got a kite. She got a lot of fun presents. Her Mim & Pop gave her a Dora 4-wheeler. She got lots of beautiful clothes. She got some books, dolls, and learning toys. One of my favorite gifts came from my sister. She gave her a my first learning purse. It has a little mirror, lipstick, keys, bracelet, & money. It sings, and has a lot of interactive things. It is precious! Brylee was fixed up! This year has flown by. It is hard to believe a year ago she was born! She is such a sweet girl. She has been taking a couple of steps for a little over a month. She has really done so much better with walking just this past week. There have been a few falls, though. She gets right back up to walk again. She also wants to eat whatever we eat. She is saying a few things: Mama, Dada, Hey, Hot, and something that we think means "thank you".

Soon to Turn One!

Our sweet little girl is about to turn one. She will be one on Thursday! It seems like yesterday that we were waiting in the hospital for her arrival. Time really flies! We are having her birthday party this weekend. She is having a pink poodle party. Her invitations turned out cute, if I do say so myself!

Jump!

Brant got a trampoline for his birthday. Since then, he has been hardly able to go jump because of the cold temperatures. This past weekend was very pretty. Brant and Brylee were able to enjoy the fun. While Daddy was putting Brylee & Brant's new swingset together, we had fun playing on the trampoline!

The Flu was here!

Sorry, I haven't posted in a while. Our family was one of the many that got the flu. Brylee was tested a week ago, but did not test positive. Brant was tested this past Monday and he had it. In the meantime, Bryan was not feeling well and Brylee's conditions worsened. I was pretty sure that Bryan and Brylee both had the flu by then. I was the only one well. We all took Tamaflu, all except for Brylee. Babies can't take it. Brant became well by Thursday, but Brylee still coughed quite a bit. Bryan's mom kept her for the rest of the week. Because I took Tamaflu, I had to stop nursing Brylee. I was going to stop anyway, because she will turn one this month, but I wasn't really ready. Ready or not, I had to stop because the affects on babies are not known. She has done okay. She still wakes up in the night, but now I have to go get a bottle. Hopefully, she will soon sleep through the night.

SNOW much Fun!

We got to play in snow today! The local weatherman lives in our neighborhood and he made snow. It was so cool! It was the only house on the street with snow in the front yard. We couldn't stay too long, because it was SO cold. Brant wanted to make a snowball so bad, but I really couldn't help him because I was holding Brylee. He had fun, though. (Brylee did not enjoy it as much). I did manage to snap a couple of pictures before we headed home!

Christmas Morning

We had a wonderful Christmas! Brylee woke first and then Brant woke up. When I told him it was Christmas morning, he ran to the window to look for snow. He asked, "Where's the snow?". Then he looked around. Santa was good to Brant and Brylee! There was a 4-wheeler, a dinosaur race track, a laugh & learn kitchen, and much more! Brant was in awe and Brylee was more interested in the paper and bows! We enjoyed our quiet, but exciting morning. We later went to eat dinner with our family at Bryan's aunt's. We had a great Christmas! The gifts were nice, but it is important to remember the ultimate reason for this holiday - Jesus's birth!

Christmas Eve

On Christmas Eve, we spent the evening with Bryan's family at his brother, Chip's house. Brant was so ready to open gifts. Who could blame him? We ate a lot of great food and had a great time with our family!
