Brylee LOVES to wear shoes, especially when they are not hers. I will find a shoe in one room and the match is in another room. She also enjoys wearing her squeaker shoes around the house. I caught her in some of my shoes. This girl can already walk in heels!
Brant went fishing with his Dad and Grandaddy on the river for the first time! He did great according to Bryan. They were gone all day, but they came back with some HUGE catfish. I am so glad he caught so many during his first "real" fishing trip! He was so proud to show me his fish!
We went to Geyser Falls Friday. I was a little concerned with how Brylee would do, but she actually did super! We arrived right after it opened. Brant was so excited to go back. We came last year, but this year, he was going to be able to ride a couple of more rides since he was a little taller. Brant's favorite activities were the water slides and the Creaky Leaky Water Factory. He is a little dare devil. He has no fear. He was not scared to ride any ride! If he had been tall enough, I know he would have ridden every ride there at the park.
Brylee, on the other hand, liked things she could actually do by herself (aka Little Miss Independent). She really enjoyed Lil' Squirt's Hollow. She loved finding the places where water squirted out and just walking around. She somewhat enjoyed the Creaky Leaky Water Factory and the Beach area, too. Most things, where I had to hold her (where she was Not in Control), she really did not care for it. Thus, she did NOT enjoy the lazy river or the wave pool. She also did NOT like to wear that life jacket provided by the park. We all had a super time. We were absolutely exhausted by the end of the day!
One morning, I took the kids to Lee Park to play and meet a friend. We went early because it has been so hot lately. We were the first ones at the park. They had the best time! Brylee loved climbing on things. She just enjoyed climbing and going back and forth on the little bridge. Brant pretty much can do anything there now. They played and played. I finally convinced them to leave because it was getting hot! We really enjoyed the outing!
We went to my parent's home to celebrate the 4th of July. We spent the day with my brother and his family. Bryan enjoyed fishing, the kids enjoyed playing in the little pool, and we all enjoyed EATING! My cousin, Leah, spent the day and night with us. We had the best time!
I needed to water the lawn, so I pulled out the sprinklers. Immediately, Brylee started squealing. She took off towards the water, clothes & all! Brant followed, too! They had a blast playing in the water.
Brant & Brylee have really grown close this summer. It seems that she can finally play with him. She loves Brant! She wakes each morning calling "Bant". She will try to go in his room to wake him up. Sometimes I have to remind Brant that she is still little and he must be careful. For the most part, he usually does well with her. He sometimes likes to agitate her by taking her baby stroller or a toy she is playing with, but what brother doesn't like to aggravate his sister?
